Accessing Rubiscape SaaS and RubiSight Mobile Application Simultaneously

Accessing Rubiscape SaaS and RubiSight Mobile Application Simultaneously

  1. RubiSight Mobile and Rubiscape SaaS provide a fully synchronized multi-platform authentication experience while maintaining strict security on mobile devices.
  2. You can access with seamless workflow continuity without session conflicts or forced logouts.
  3. RubiSight Mobile and Rubiscape SaaS platforms support seamless multi-platform access for the same tenant and user credentials. This enables users to work across both web and mobile interfaces without session interruptions.

This document explains the expected behavior, session rules, and login limitations.

1. Using the Same Login Credentials

  1. Users can log in to Rubiscape SaaS (Web App) and RubiSight Mobile App using the same tenant ID and user credentials.
  2. No additional setup or configuration is required.
  3. Authentication and authorization work consistently across both platforms.

2. Independent Active Sessions

✔ Both platforms maintain their own session:

  1. A user can stay logged in on Rubiscape SaaS.
  2. The same user can simultaneously stay logged in on the RubiSight Mobile App.
These sessions do not interfere with each other.

✔ What this means for the user:

  1. Work on the Rubiscape SaaS dashboard while receiving notifications on RubiSight Mobile.
  2. Switch between devices without losing progress.

3. Logout Behavior (Independent Logout)

  1. Logging out from Rubiscape SaaS does NOT log the user out from RubiSight Mobile.
  2. Logging out from RubiSight Mobile does NOT log the user out from Rubiscape SaaS.

Each platform manages its own authentication lifecycle.

4. Session Persistence Rules

Sessions will persist on both platforms until:

  1. User logs out manually, OR
  2. The session expires due to inactivity or security timeout.

Each platform follows its own session-timeout policy.

5. Mobile Device Login Restrictions

To ensure security and prevent unauthorized parallel access:

  1. A user cannot log in to the RubiSight Mobile App on two different mobile devices at the same time.
  2. When a second device attempts login:
  • The first device session will be blocked or invalidated (based on configuration),
    OR

  • The user will receive an error preventing simultaneous mobile logins.

This ensures protection against account misuse on multiple mobile devices.

6. Login Across Different Tenants

  • The same user (same email/user ID) can log in using different tenant IDs on both SaaS and Mobile.

  • Access is allowed as long as:

    • The user exists and is active in that tenant.

    • The correct tenant ID + username + password combination is used.

✔ Examples:

  • User can access:

    • Tenant A on SaaS

    • Tenant B on Mobile

  • Or switch tenants independently on each platform.

This supports multi-organization and multi-client usage scenarios.
