Date Filtering with Anchor Date Option

This option enables filtering on a Date column starting from a specific date. It is supported across Global, Page, and Widget level filters.

You can find this option under the Date Filter options, as shown below:

When the Enable Anchor Date option is disabled (toggle turned OFF), the date-based filtering is applied relative to the current date. This behavior is applicable for options like Now, In Last, and Due in Next.

To filter data based on a specific reference date, you can enable the Anchor Date option by turning ON the toggle switch next to "Enable Anchor Date".

Once enabled, the following configuration options are displayed:

  1. Include Anchor Date:
This option is provided with a toggle switch. When enabled, it ensures that the entered Anchor Date is included in the filtered results.

  1. Anchor Date:
Displayed with an input box using the placeholder format
dd-mm-yyyy, this field allows users to manually enter or select a date. A calendar icon is also available for easy selection of the required Anchor Date.

The Anchor Date setting is applicable for filtering options such as Now, In Last, and Due in Next. These are displayed below the Anchor Date section, separated by a divider.
Additionally, options like Between and In Range can also be configured if needed.

Example:

Suppose the dataset contains data for the year 1959, covering all 12 months.
When applied, the filter will adjust the chart to display the corresponding data across all 365 days based on the Anchor Date and selected filter criteria.

The Anchor date option is configured for Now option:

On Applying the changes, the chart data for all charts get filtered and displayed as:

Filter configured with In Last option as below:

The filtered data includes the Anchor Date and filters data for Last 5 days from that date and shows data as below:

Filter options configured with ‘Include Anchor Date’ option toggle turned OFF:

This configuration removes the Anchor Date from the filtered data and other date is added as per ‘In Last’ option and data is displayed as below.

The option ‘Due in Next’ option with configuration as below shows the data for the next Weeks as per set option.

The configuration for Anchor Date is saved when Dashboard is saved and can be updated as per requirements.
