Drill Through with Keep All Filters 

  1. This option is available  from Rubisight dashboard edit mode.
  2. This option is available in page format settings.
  3. This is used to carry forward all applicable filters on the respective chart which is drilled through.
  4. These carry forwarded filters include page/widget filters alongwith filter widgets which are applicable on that chart.


Overview


  1. Keep All Filters is a page-level setting available under:
  1. Format → Drill Through

  1. This toggle controls whether all existing filters from the source page (which are applied on the source widget) are carried to the drilled (target) page.

 

Default Behavior

  1. The toggle is enabled (ON) by default
  2. Ensures full context preservation during drill-through navigation

 

When Keep All Filters = ON


  1. All active filters from the source are carried forward, including:
  1. Page-level filters
  2. Widget-level filters
  3. Filter widget selections


Filter Handling

  1. Categorical Filters
  1. Passed as selected values
  1. Numerical Filters
  1. Passed as Min–Max range
  1. Date Filters
  1. Passed as Between (start–end range)


Where Filters Are Applied

  1. All carried filters are added into:
  1. Drill Through Filter Pane on the target page


Behavior Summary


  1. Drill-through = Selected category + All applied filters
  2. Provides complete context continuity

 

Example (Keep All Filters ON)
  1. Source Page Chart:
  1. Region = Europe (Drilled Category from chart)

  1. Page Filter:
    1. Category = Groceries, Furniture
    1. Profit filter = 0 – 1000


  1. User performs Ctrl + Click → Drill Through
  2. Target Page:
  1. Region = Europe (from chart selection)
  2. Category = Groceries, Furniture (carried)
  3. Sales = 0,1000 (range carried)


When Keep All Filters = OFF
  1. Only chart-specific drilled values are passed


      Behavior

  1. Filters carried:
  1. Only the selected category (or plotted value) from the chart

  1. Filters NOT carried:
Page filters
Widget Filters
Filter widget values


      Behavior Summary

Drill-through = Only selected chart value
No additional filtering context is preserved

 

      Example (Keep All Filters OFF)

  1. Source Page:
  1. Region = Europe
  1. Page Filters
  1. Category = Groceries
  2. Sales filter = 1000–5000
User drills from:
  1. Region = Europe
Target Page:
  1. Only Region = Europe is applied
  2. Category and Sales filters are not carried


Important Notes

  1. The target page’s toggle setting determines behavior
  2. Filters are always applied within: Drill Through Filters panel
  3. Works across: Multiple filter types (categorical, numerical, date)

 

Summary

  1. ON → Full filter context is preserved
  2. OFF → Only drilled category/value is passed
