File Transfer

Description

The File Transfer node allows seamless file movement across different storage systems including Azure, SFTP, and FTP. It supports both Copy & Paste and Cut & Paste operations. The node supports multi-machine file transfers with built-in error handling.

Why to use

  • Supports customizable file transfers with options like filename formatting using date/time suffixes, overwrite or fail handling on conflicts, and robust error handling for missing files or invalid IPs during multi-machine transfers.
  •   You can choose a worker as either the source or destination. Based on the selected role, you only need to enter the credentials for the opposite end.
  •  Enables actual file transfer execution using host and port configuration with protocol-based handling.
  •  Generates clean, focused node-level logs (CSV downloadable) that capture only file-level errors.

When to use

  • When you want to transfer any type of file from the current storage where Rubiscape is hosted to Azure, FTP, or SFTP.

When not to use

When files are not present at the source or destination.

 

Prerequisites

You should know the required credentials to connect to the server.
