Notifications for RubiSight Mobile Application


The Notifications feature in RubiSight Mobile Application helps users stay updated on important activities such as comments, mentions, approvals, and scheduled dashboard alerts.


1. Accessing Notifications


The Notifications icon is available on the Home screen, at the top-right corner.

How to open notifications

  1. Open the RubiSight Mobile App.
  2. On the Home screen, tap the Notifications (bell) icon.
  3. This opens the Notifications panel, showing:
  1. New Notifications
  2. Old Notifications


2. Types of Notifications Received

You will receive notifications specific to:

  1. Your User ID
  2. Your Tenant

You will be notified when:

  1. You are mentioned in a comment

      Example: Someone tags you using @yourEmailPrefix in a dashboard comment.
  1. You are mentioned in a reply to a comment
  2. A dashboard is sent for approval
You receive a notification if you are the assigned approver.
  1. A dashboard schedule is triggered
Any scheduled dashboard you are associated with will appear as a notification.

3. Viewing New and Old Notifications

New Notifications

  • Shown at the top of the notification list.

  • Highlighted to indicate unread status.

  • These are only for events related to the logged-in user AND within the user's tenant.


Old Notifications

  • Once a notification is tapped/viewed, it automatically moves to the Old Notifications section.

  • Old notifications remain stored for future reference.

  • The app keeps a maximum of 100 notifications for each user.


4. Navigating from Notifications


Opening a Notification

  • Tap any notification to open it.

Behavior Based on Notification Type

  1. Comment/Mention Notification

  1. Tapping the notification navigates you directly to:
  1. The respective dashboard
  2. The specific comment thread

This allows quick access to discussions where you are involved.

  1. Approval Notifications

  1. Shows notification for dashboard is sent for dashboard approval actions
3. Dashboard Schedule Notifications
  1. Shows notification when the dashboard is scheduled and alert is reached.



5. Notification Retention Policy


  • A maximum of 100 notifications are stored per user.

  • Once the limit is reached:

  1. The oldest notifications are automatically removed.
  2. New ones continue to appear as usual.
