Plot Band Configuration in Solid Guage Chart

Plot Band Configuration in Solid Guage Chart

Plot bands in a Solid Gauge chart are used to visually segment the gauge's scale into color-coded ranges. These helps highlight zones such as 'Low', 'Medium', 'High', or indicate threshold levels. Plot bands are static. Plot band configuration is done using the Highlight configuration.

Purpose of Plot Band:

- Visually divide the gauge into value-based ranges.

- Highlight critical thresholds or safe/alert zones.

Configure Plot Band:

Plot Band formatter is available in Chart formatters of Solid Guage chart. Follow below steps to configure Plot Band on Solid Guage chart:

1.     Chart formatters >> Turn on the Toggle button of Plot Band.

2.     Turning ON of Plot Band sets the Highlight configuration to Turn OFF, if tuned ON previously.

Green

> 60000 to 100000

Violet

Reflected Changes on the Chart:

The value 32.52 Thousand lies between 20000 to 40000 levels which refer to Yellow color hence the chart data color is displayed Yellow. Data label showing the label with Yellow color.

Guage axis labels are available showing the data ranges – 20 Thousand, 40 Thousand, 60 Thousand.

Notes:

·  When the chart is fully configured—either through the Configuration panel or via Formatters > Gauge Axis options—the highlight condition still evaluates the value configuration as the left-hand side (LHS) for comparison against the specified operator and operand value.

·  Conditions defined in the Highlight modal are evaluated dynamically based on real-time data. The chart applies the corresponding visual changes using the filtered data available at that specific moment.

·  A Solid Gauge chart can be configured using either Highlight or Plot Band settings—not both simultaneously.

  • When using Plot Band, you must define level thresholds.
  • When using Highlight, you need to configure conditional rules.

·  When Plot Band is used, it evaluates the data value against the defined ranges and applies the corresponding color to the chart segment where the value falls.
