Dashboard Page/Widget Narration with Commentary

Widget Narrations

  1. The RubiAI Executive Summary feature provides an AI-generated textual summary of key insights based on the visualizations plotted on a dashboard page.
  2. The summary highlights trends, patterns, and important data points in a structured natural language format.


You can generate and use the widget narrations for further reference with below available options:
  1. Select chart/s or entire page for narration
  2. Regenerate summary/narration using RubiAI
  3. Refresh to regenerate summary
  4. Download or copy the summary


To generate the RubiAI Executive Summary, follow the steps below.


Step 1: Open the dashboard page in view mode.
Step 2: Click the RubiAI (marked as 1 in below figure) option from the toolbar

Step 3: The Insights panel appears on the right side.
Step 4: Click on Toggle button (marked as 2 in figure) to enable the Commentary option.

Step 5: Click on Select Charts/Dashboard dropdown.

Step 6: The current dashboard page name and Widget names (as set in Chart configuration -Widget Name formatter) of the available charts on the page are displayed. 
Only visual charts are supported and displayed in the list. Excluded charts : Text, Shape, Image, Python Widget, Parameter Widget, Filter Widget.

Step 7: Select the charts or the entire page for summarization.

Step 8: Click the Generate button () to generate the summary.

Step 9: Review the generated summary in the panel.

To use further, click on the available options below the generated summary:

Refresh

To regenerate the summary

Copy

To copy the entire generated summary for that respective response

Download

To save the summary as a file (.pdf format) directly to your device.



Notes:
  1. The summary is not editable.
  2. It is not stored permanently. Refreshing the dashboard clears the summary.
  3. It works based on selected visualizations on the current page.
  4. Hidden widgets will not be considered for generating commentary and won’t display in the chart list.
  5. Only supported charts with visual representations/insights are available in the chart list for narrations.
