Configuring Dashboard from Mobile View

Configuring Dashboard from Mobile View

  1. Refer Navigate Mobile View to access the Mobile View.
  2. Refer Mobile View introduction for getting details of the sections available in the Mobile View and why this configuration is required.
  3. Navigate to Mobile View of canvas for configuring dashboard page layout for the Mobile Application. You can design the dashboard layout for mobile devices using charts available in the Chart Picker Pane.
  4. These charts reflect the same configuration as the Desktop View.

Configuration Steps:

  1. Double-click or drag and drop a chart from the Chart Picker Pane onto the Canvas. Here the added chart is displayed added below the earlier chart on the Mobile View canvas. Repositioning is allowed afterwards.

  1. The chart gets added below the previously added chart and gets removed from the Chart Picker pane allowing below charts to take their space in the Chart Picker pane
  2. Resize
the chart as needed to fit the mobile layout.
  3. Format
the chart using the formatters in the Formatter Pane.
  4. Save
the dashboard once configuration is complete.
  5. Repeat the process for all pages in the dashboard as required.

Important points to remember while configuring Mobile View:

Notes

·         Default Chart Display:
If a dashboard is not specifically configured for Mobile View, or if no charts are added to the Mobile View for a given page, all charts configured in the Desktop View for that page will be displayed by default in the mobile application.

·         Chart Updates:
Any updates made to charts in the Desktop View—excluding formatting changes—will be automatically reflected in the corresponding charts within the Mobile View canvas and subsequently in the mobile application.

·         Chart Deletion:
If a chart is deleted from the Desktop View, it will also be removed from the Mobile View configuration.

·         Filter Behavior:
Filters applied in the Desktop View (Global, Page, or Widget-level) are retained and visible in the Mobile View. However, adding or modifying filters directly from the Mobile View is not supported.

·         Data Level Security:
Data-level security settings are visible in the Mobile View but cannot be edited.

·         Unsupported Actions in Mobile View:
The following functionalities are not supported in the Mobile View:

o   Refresh Dashboard

o   Publish Dashboard

o   Schedule

o   Export to PDF / PPT

o   Comments

o   Annotations
