Disable Direct Query
To Disable Direct Query in a dataset in the dashboard, follow the steps below.
- Open the dashboard in edit mode. Refer to Editing the Dashboard. The dashboard is displayed.
- In the Data Pane, click the ellipsis corresponding to the dataset, and then click Disable Direct Query from the listed option.
Disable Direct Query window appears. - Select OK and Save the Dashboard.
Direct Query is disabled for the dataset in the dashboard. Now, Cache files will be generated from the dataset, and widgets will retrieve data from the cache
