Workbook Validation

Workbook Validation

In Rubiscape, you can drag-and-drop algorithms and datasets on the workbook or workflow canvas to build a model. When you run the model, Rubiscape validates it before execution.

The validation feature is used to notify the validation errors that occur while configuring or executing the workbooks or workflows.

Rubiscape displays the validation error messages for the errors that occur in any of the following situations when you click Validate.

  • A workbook or workflow canvas is empty
  • A dataset or reader is not configured
  • Nodes are not interconnected
  • A dependent or one or more independent variables for a task are not selected
  • A value of a parameter is not entered correctly
  • A value of a hyperparameter is not entered correctly
  • A feature in a task is not mapped correctly in a workflow

In Rubiscape, a workbook or workflow is validated either explicitly using Validate or implicitly using Run.

You can use the Validate option to validate the workbook or workflow before a model is run.

(info)

Notes:

The workbook or workflow is validated automatically when the Run option is used to run the model. The execution of the model is aborted if a validation error occurs at any point during its execution.

(info)

Notes:

  • The Run option is disabled for an empty workbook or workflow canvas.
  • A validation error for even a single node prevents the execution of the entire workbook or workflow.
  • When a validation error occurs during the execution of a model, Rubiscape displays the following:
    • A validation failed message at the bottom-right of the canvas.
    • A warning error symbol () either on the selected task or incorrectly filled data field or on both.
