Highlight- Option for Fetch Original Text Formatting

The Fetch Original Text Formatting option allows you to apply highlight settings using the text formatting already defined at the column level.
When clicked, it retrieves formatting attributes such as font type, font size, bold, italic, and underline, and applies them within the Highlight configuration.

This option is available within the Highlight configuration for the following chart types: Table, Sparkline, and Cross Table.

To configure the Highlight settings for a Sparkline chart, follow the steps below:

Configure the column _Item Type with following configurations from Chart Formatters >> Column:

To apply the original text formatting from the column:

  • Navigate to the existing/new Highlight Condition configuration.
  • Click on the Fetch Original Text Formatting option.
  • The Highlight modal will populate with the formatting settings that were originally configured in the Column Formatter for the _Item Type column, as shown below.

Click Done and Apply to set the changes.

The highlighted values are displayed with the text formatting specified in the Highlight configuration.

This approach eliminates the need to check formatting options at the column level, allowing for easier retrieval and configuration directly within the Highlight settings.

Note:
Enabling the Retain Table Style checkbox removes the Background Color option from the Highlight modal. In this case, the formatting is derived from the existing table style.

These changes are reflected on the chart for the following _Item Types:

For the highlighted values in _Item Type column, the values other than ‘Meat’ are highlighted with set configuration – Font 21 and Table style retained as Alternate Row.

Same is applicable with other Table Style formatting. The same table style is referred for highlighted cells.

For other chart Highlight configurations, refer Highlight in Solid Guage chart, Highlight in Table, Card Chart.
